Logs sorted and stacked at a landing

The one that is only here

Clear & Mill

The lot has to be cleared anyway. The lumber has to come from somewhere anyway. Doing both in one go is the single thing this outfit does that nobody else around here is set up for.

How it goes

Five steps, one outfit

01

Walk the lot

Before anything comes down we walk it. Which trees have to go, which are worth sawing, which are firewood, and where the building is actually going to sit.

02

Clear and sort

Trees down, stumps out. Sawlogs sorted and skidded to one landing rather than pushed into the pile with the brush.

03

Cut to grade

Pad, driveway, drainage. Cut and fill balanced on site wherever the ground lets me.

04

Cut to size

The mill sets up on the landing and saws your logs to your list.

05

Stack and sticker

Stacked flat, off the ground, under cover, stickered so it dries straight. Then I am off the job and the lumber is yours.

What it saves

One mobilisation instead of two

Two jobs, one mobilisation. And the material you would have paid somebody to haul away becomes the material you would have paid somebody to deliver.

Good for

  • House and camp sites
  • Barns, garages and outbuildings
  • Woodlot and field-edge clearing
  • Anyone building with what they already own
Stacked timbers and beams
